Merge into the ground, recover 30% HP, and have Basic Attacks become ranged attacks. While underground Energy will be drained. For each 200 Energy drained deal an additional True damage equal to 10% of lost enemy HP.
Lv. 2: Increase HP recovered to 40%.
Lv. 3: Increase HP recovered to 50%.
Lv. 4: Increase HP recovered to 60%.

Apply a Nature Mark to Grine that lasts for 6 seconds and recovers HP equal to 200% received damage.
Lv. 2: Increase HP recovered from received damage to 220%.
Lv. 3: Increase HP recovered from received damage to 240%.
Lv. 4: Increase HP recovered from received damage to 260%.
Lv. 5: Increase HP recovered from received damage to 280%.
Second Chance
9 seconds after dying revive and recover 40% HP. Suffer Overconfident (chance of being Critically Hit increased by 50%) until the end of the battle.
Lv. 2: Increase HP recovered to 50%.
Lv. 3: Increase HP recovered to 60%.
Lv. 4: Increase HP recovered to 70%.
Lv. 5: Increase HP recovered to 80%.
Story
Despite his appearance, Grine is a docile creature who only attacks when provoked. For centuries he flourished in the marshes of the Deadlands. But when the the Dread swept through, the complex ecosystem he called home was overcome by poisonous swampland. Grine misses his more peaceful days but believes that things happen in cycles. If he just keeps fighting, he may one day be able to return home.
